Day Care - The Nest and Hatchlings Rooms

Ham Drive Day Care

Our Day Care consists of two richly resourced provisions for our youngest learners:

 The Nest

This room is an all-year-round provision, dedicated to high-quality, nurturing education and care of the under 2s. It is also the home to our school's wrap-around care for all children.

  The Hatchlings

This room provides first-rate education and care for children aged 2-3 years. This is a term-time-only provision. However, stretch funding options, providing all-year-round care, are available on request. Sessions during school holidays are staffed by the Nest team.

Our Day Care teams of experienced qualified early years professionals help to create stimulating, inviting environments for all children. At Ham Drive, we value outside play and utilise our school's Nature Garden as well as the local woods to provide regular Nature Explorer sessions.

We offer places for

  • 2-year-old children eligible for fully funded FRAS sessions (previously known as Me2),
  • Fee paying families
  • 15 hours of fully funded sessions for children from 9 months of age from eligible working families through the working parent funding (WPF). NB - this will increase to 30 hours in September 2025.

Our main sessions are:

Morning Session

8.45am to 11.45am

Lunch Club

11.45am to 12.30pm

Afternoon Session

12.30pm to 3.30pm
