    Plym Bridge Day Care

Our Day Care is committed to providing high-quality, nurturing care for the under threes. Staff are recruited for their qualifications, professionalism and experience. They must have enthusiasm, dedication and a genuine love of children. We offer a secure, happy and stimulating environment where self-confidence, consideration for others and good manners are encouraged. We know that every child is special and unique and, as such, we recognise the different individual needs of each and every child in our care.

    Gold Group - Rising Threes

We know that moving from Day Care to Nursery School can be difficult for some children, faced with a new environment and different staff and routines. To help prepare children for this transition, we have developed the Rising Threes group, otherwise known as the Gold group for our Day Care children to access the term before they are due to start in nursery school. Children will be invited to join in with Gold group activities and group times to prepare them for accessing the daily focussed group times when they start nursery school. The Gold Group's activities mirror the theme of the nursery school and focus on supporting the children to develop their listening and attention skills within a group context and developing their social skills, independence and communication and interactions. The Gold group also makes regular visits into nursery school with Sophie Brannan, who leads this group, to discover the new learning environment and how everything operates. The frequency and length of visits into nursery school build up over time and their pace is matched to the confidence of each individual child and the speed with which they feel secure and settled in the new environment.
