We have carefully considered how to maximise the likelihood that our pupils will remember and make lasting connections between the steps they are taught over time. We want our environment to make our pupils tingle with expectation and create awe and wonder through interactive displays, lessons and high quality, first hand experiences. We have carefully considered which pedagogy best helps children to develop deep learning that can be built on year on year.
We use dual coding systems to help children to have lasting memories of the knowledge they are learning about. Our knowledge organisers are designed to assist long term memory recall and our planning ensures high quality first hand experiences are built in termly. We include whole family participation in the learning process so that we can maximise all resources that a child has access to.
